Mission Call

We received our mission call December 24, 2008. The letter came during the day but we hid it because our family was coming over for Christmas Eve. It was our desire to share this with our family. We will be serving for 18 months in the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. WOW! What a Christmas present. This is a day we have been waiting for. Since that time we have been a pest to our family. Dixie has spent many hours helping sew the Nauvoo era clothing. We were able to steal Dale one evening to help us pick out a lap top and Jamie has spent a day here helping us set up the laptop with everything we will need while we are away. It seems that the time we have left to going too fast. Our farewell is on March 8th and we report to the MTC on March 16th. We have asked several of our grandkids to speak for us but have not found any takers. Once in the MTC we will be there for a week and two days...then we will be making the trek to Nauvoo. We are so excited!
